Alegra Law, a division of Blue Chip Law, PLLC (“Alegra Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, alegralaw.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting information through any form on the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
When you submit a case review form, contact form, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and city or county
- A description of your accident, incident, or potential claim, which may include information about your injuries, medical treatment, or health
- Any other information you include in your message
- Records of your calls, text messages, and emails with our team
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Device type, operating system, and browser type
- Pages viewed, time spent on the Site, and the page or source that referred you
- Date and time of your visit and of any form submission
We collect some of this information using cookies and similar technologies. See Section 7 (Cookies and Analytics).
Consent records
If you consent to receive calls or texts from us, we retain a record of that consent, including the date, time, IP address, and the consent language in effect at the time of submission.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and evaluate your potential claim
- Contact you by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry and, where you have consented, about our services
- Connect you with the attorney or attorneys who will evaluate or handle your matter, including co-counsel or other law firms as described in Section 3
- Verify identity, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure the Site
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and Florida Bar obligations, including record-keeping requirements
- Analyze Site usage and improve the Site and our services
- Enforce our terms and protect our legal rights
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
Co-counsel and associated attorneys. Alegra Law may associate with, or refer your matter to, other licensed attorneys or law firms to evaluate or handle your case. In that event, we share the information you provided so those attorneys can assess and pursue your claim. Any fee-sharing or association of counsel will be disclosed to you and documented in writing as required by the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
Blue Chip Law and affiliates. Alegra Law is a division of Blue Chip Law, PLLC, 301 W. Platt Street, Suite A-339, Tampa, FL 33606. Because Alegra Law operates as a division of that firm, the information you submit is available to Blue Chip Law for intake, conflicts checking, case evaluation, firm operations, and compliance purposes, and may be shared with entities under common ownership. Affiliates that receive your information are required to handle it consistently with this Privacy Policy.
Service providers. We use third-party vendors who process information on our behalf, such as website hosting, form processing, customer relationship and intake management, telephone and text messaging services, answering services, and analytics providers. These vendors are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or Bar rule, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business changes. If Alegra Law is reorganized or its practice is transferred, client and inquiry records may be transferred consistent with applicable Bar rules and this Policy.
4. Confidentiality of Inquiry Information
We treat the information you submit about a potential claim as confidential and restrict access to personnel and attorneys involved in intake and case evaluation. However, information submitted before an attorney-client relationship is formed may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege. Please do not include Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive identifiers in web forms.
5. Calls, Text Messages, and Communications Consent
If you provide your phone number and consent, we may contact you by phone call and text message (SMS/MMS) at that number about your inquiry, including through automated technology or prerecorded or artificial voice messages, as described in the consent disclosure on our forms.
- Consent is not a condition of retaining Alegra Law or receiving any service.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
- You may opt out of calls or emails by telling us during any call, using the unsubscribe link in any email, or contacting us at info@alegralaw.com.
We honor opt-out requests within a reasonable time and maintain records of consent and revocation as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.059).
6. Data Retention
We retain inquiry and consent records for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal and Bar obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. If you become a client, your information will be retained in accordance with our file retention policies and the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to collect aggregated usage data about how the Site is used. The Site also loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google that includes your IP address. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
The Site does not currently run advertising or remarketing pixels. If advertising or remarketing technologies are added, this section will be updated before they are enabled.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, including access controls and encrypted transmission of form submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If your child was injured, a parent or legal guardian should contact us on the child’s behalf.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you submitted through the Site by contacting us at info@alegralaw.com or (844) 895-4529. We will respond to verified requests to the extent permitted by law and our professional obligations. Note that we may be required to retain certain records under Bar rules or other law even after a deletion request.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
